The Tuska Family, originally from Cincinnati, found their home in Parker and shortly after began Colorado School of Dance in a one room studio in 2002, later purchasing their 10,000 sq. ft. building in 2014.
Lisa Tuska, a former college dancer and championship baton twirler, started with 6 teachers (3 still with the company today), all committed to giving students the most quality, well-rounded training possible. CSD built a true community for dancers to call "home" from their very first steps to their high school graduation. Many CSD dancers have went on to high-level programs, including School of the Arts, Chapman, OCU and Broadway. Today, alumni often come back to bring their own children in for their first class. As Douglas County's Premiere Dance School
for both recreational and pre-professional dancers, CSD continues to be innovative
and passionate for all things dance.
