How will CSD do a Hybrid Dance Model?
Colorado School of Dance (CSD) has invested $6,000 into technology recently to update all of our studios for this coming season. Currently, CSD has plans to do all classes in-person during the 2020-2021 season, however if COVID-19 risks outweigh the benefits to do in-person instruction, CSD can immediately switch over to a pre-planned HYBRID DANCE MODEL. Here is how it works:
Hybrid Dance Classes would be divided out into BLUE & BLACK alternating weeks (our studio colors).
Classes would operate with 50% of the students on alternating weeks. For example, a class of 10 would include 5 dancers in-person and 5 dancers online, switching every other week. A dancer taking class on Monday & Wednesday, would come one Monday & Wednesday, and then be online with the class the next Monday & Wednesday. It would be the same class, same teacher, just half the class size (half on zoom & half in person alternating weekly).
The "BLUE" and "BLACK" weeks are already divided on our google calendar, and CSD would be prepared to switch to this learning style as soon as 9/28 if needed. CSD would divide the classes in a recommended model of A-L & M-Z by last names or give families instructions on which week they will attend based on #s.
This is only a plan ready to put into action if and when state and local guidelines would be put in place due to increased local infection.
Full-time online learning continues to be an option for all families, and CSD is set up to provide this as well during any phase of the pandemic. For more information on our phased plans, see our COVID-19 online page. Thank you.
