Why Dance Exams?

As Colorado's #1 Premiere Dance School we offer more than a dance class to our students.  We want to offer our clients accountability and value to their investment in dance training.  Dance assessments are conducted each spring so you can be sure your dancer is getting the training that will qualify them as a CSD Dancer.  Dance exams are held during classes, with exception of Ballet.  Here are the upcoming dates & more information:

Exam Results & Awards

Colorado School of Dance presents the results of the exams with either achieved or progressing

  • Achieved  -   meaning the student achieved the coursework & will pass onto the next level.

  • Progressing - meaning the student is still progressing towards the next level.  (Often the teacher will suggest additional referrals such as summer training or another year at this level.  This is to set the student up for the best personal success).

  • Medals - all students receive a "performance medal" when dancing in the year-end recital.

Meet Becca, now a CSD Instructor, and Senior in college where she continues to dance on a company. She began at age 3 in her first CSD dance class, and graduated at Level 6.  Today, she is studying to be a Surgeon, and will go on to medical school in 2022.  She is one of many testimonies of the character, discipline and the integrity a strong, established mentorship through dance can create.  Most importantly, she made lasting friendships through her dance, and now works beside many of the teachers that mentored her.
