CSD's Leveling System

Regular Classes
(Ages 7-18)

Each level (1, 2, 3, etc.) is accompanied by a "B" or "A".

B=beginner
A=advanced

The levels are as follows:
1B - true beginner
1A - beyond beginner
2B - advanced beginner
2A - early intermediate
3B/3A - intermediate
4B/4A - advanced intermediate
5&6 - advanced

Ballet, jazz, tap and hip hop follow this level structure. As students get older, there are sometimes not enough in a class to have a single level class, so often classes will be combined at levels 4 and up.

Classes that do not follow this structure are as follows:
- Contemporary: based on your jazz level
- Lyrical: based on your ballet level
- Musical Theater: based on instructor's discretion
- Acro: based on instructor's discretion
-Poms: based on your ballet or jazz level
