Dance Teams

Our national winning team program is essential to dancers thank want more one-on-one coaching mentorship.  These dancers are training for future careers in dance, and most step into college dance programs at the top of their class. Our dancers love the opportunities to perform and learn at area conventions and competitions. Our dancers are the kindest kids in the world, with highly trained skills in dance, communications and time management. We are raising more than a competitive dancer; we are raising dependable, strong and kind humans.

APT

The Artistic Performance Team (APT) is a program designed for dancers ages 10 and up who want to compete at a high level. These teams compete in all styles offered at CSD, primarily focusing on contemporary, jazz and lyrical. Placement in a 2A level or higher is required to be on this team.  In order to be selected for APT, dancers must audition at set times in late May or early June as we do not accept students to join mid-season. Once selected, dancers make a year-long commitment to their team. Every other year, our team goes to a national competition outside of Colorado. Our next national competition will be in the summer of 2024.

Razzles

The Razzles team is a program designed for dancers ages 4-10 who are interested in competing and having more opportunities to perform. Razzles compete in all styles offered at CSD, primarily focusing on jazz and tap. These dancers must be students at CSD, no minimum level required. Dancers attend an audition camp in the middle of July, during which they will be placed on a Razzle team. Dancers must attend this camp to audition as we do not accept students to join mid-season. Once selected, dancers make a year-long commitment to their team. Every other year, our team goes to a national competition outside of Colorado. Our next national competition will be in the summer of 2024.

SPT

The Showcase Performance Team (SPT) is a program designed for intermediate dancers (Juniors/Teens), who want various opportunities to perform. These teams will clean and showcase a variety of styles. SPT can be used as a stepping stone to our APT, if that is your goal.
